Pilar Aguilar and Grace Marín as a duo

Mother and daughter have performed together on various concert tours since 2005. Her repertoire contains all the classics, but she specializes in Spanish and Costa Rican music. Their greatest repertoire are  Aguilar's works for chamber music and violin and piano.  As a duo they have been invited on several occasions to perform recitals in various countries, especially from Europe. Both interpreters have a solid musical training in Europe. Marín obtained his degree in violin in Germany and Aguilar his in England. In addition, Grace holds a Master's Degree in violin from Spain.

In 2012: the Marín Aguilar duo is invited to perform seven concerts in Europe. The countries toured were: Spain, Holland, England and Austria, with a repertoire solely by Aguilar. The concerts in Madrid, Vienna and London were organized by the CR Embassies in each country. In addition, the main purpose of this trip was to record the CD "Huellas en el Mar" under the Catalan record label "Ars Harmonica" which only contains works by Pilar Aguilar for violin and piano.

In 2007: the Marín-Aguilar duo performed in Paris in "Les Invalides" (golden room) in a concert organized by the Embassy of Costa Rica. The repertoire was only works by Costa Ricans, a whole part being works by Aguilar. They then performed 2 concerts in Palma de Mallorca-Spain; one of them was held in a castle for the  Generals of the Balearic Islands. They also gave a recital in Sabadell-Barcelona at the “Teatro de la Academia de Bellas Artes”.

In 2006: the duo is invited by the Embassy of Costa Rica in Mexico to perform a recital for the diplomatic corps and Costa Rican residents. For this event they only performed works by Aguilar both for violin and piano and for solo piano.

In 2005, Pilar Aguilar was invited to Palma de Mallorca-Spain as a pianist and composer to perform two concerts with only chamber music works of her own. For this concert she had the collaboration of Spanish musicians (flute, cello and viola) and the violinist was Grace Marín-Aguilar.
